CITO of Dogue Creek
Saturday, November 22, 2008

We'll be hosting the event at Huntley Meadows Park in Alexandria, Virginia. This park, a historic and treasured wetland resource, is home to many wonderful caches. This Cache In, Trash Out event will cover different areas of the park than last year's event. The focus will be along Dogue Creek, which runs along the park's western edge, starting near the intersection of South Kings Highway and Telegraph Road. Additional waypoints will be added soon. This CITO Event is approved and organized with the cooperation of the Huntley Meadows Park Manager!

Event Schedule:
The event starts at 9:30am. Everyone will meet at the posted coordinates. We will review some basic CITO safety procedures and then teams will head out to the target areas. When the Clean-up is done then we will then meet back at the parking location for refreshments, prizes and surprises (so far we have donations from REI, Büji and Groundspeak)!
This will be a relaxed, informal event where the only requirements are to have a good time and remove lots of trash from this beautiful park!

What to bring:
1. Gloves (never trust anything)
2. Boots (If you already have a pair)
3. Water (it is a walk in the park)
4. Friends and family, Pets are permitted provided they are leashed at all times.
5. First AID kits (if you have one)
6. FRS radios
7. Anything else you think would be helpful.

Bags will be donated by the park!

* Please post your Will Attend log with how many people you are RSVP'ing for (so we can get an accurate head-count)

We plan to have hot chocolate, tea and coffee available to help warm you up.
