Norra Freberga omnämns 1361
för första gången i skrifterna. Från slutet
av 1300-talet till Gustav Vasas reformation på 1500-talet
hör gården till Vadstena kloster och därefter till
Motala Kungsgård.
På 1600-talet ägdes Norra Freberga av en av Erik
XIV’s mågar och därefter har herrgården
ägts av ett flertal mer eller mindre kända
godsägare. Sedan 1933 ägs herrgården av familjen
Ribers.
Herrgårdsbyggnaden uppfördes 1862 och har sedan dess
genomgått några större förändringar.
Sitt nuvarande utseende fick den på 1920-talet.
De nuvarande ägarna har låtit anlägga en trevlig
naturstig som dels går genom herrgårdsparken och dels i
området närmast utanför. Stigen är 1,3 km
lång och börjar och slutar vid en parkeringsplats i
slutet av den björkallé som leder från
landsvägen till herrgården.
Stigen är väl utmärkt med gula pilar. Speciellt i
herrgårdsparken ber vi att ni håller er till den
markerade leden.
Det finns 5 geocachar längs
naturstigen och dessa kan betraktas som en slags multicache. Den
första cachen är en ”Traditional” och de
övriga är av ”Mystery”-typen men inget
mysteriun behöver lösas. För att hitta geocache nr
två måste man först hitta geocache nr ett och
så vidare. I varje geocache finns två tal, XXX och YYY.

The Norra
Freberga estate has a history going back to at least the 14th
century. The present, magnificient main building dates back to the
19th century. The estate is owned by the Ribers family since
1933.
The footpath along which this series of geocaches are placed, winds
through a nice forest and through the private garden of the estate.
Please follow the yellow markers, especially inside the
garden.
There are five
geocaches in total and can be regarded as being a multicache. The
first is a “Traditional”, the other for are of the
“Mystery”-type (but no mystery needs to be solved). To
find the second you must have visited the first and so on. You will
find two numbers in each cache, XXX and YYY. The next cache is to
be found at N58 35.XXX E14 54.YYY.
