Anyone who has visited Kendal can't help but notice the green
plaques which are on a large number of buildings and other features
in the town. These have been put in place by the Kendal civic
society (visit:
http://www.communigate.co.uk/lakes/kendalcivicsociety/index.phtml
for more info).
According to the website there are over 40 of these green plaques
in the town.
I have been planning a cache based on these plaques for a while
now. I decided to get it ready for the South Cumbria Event in order
to have it as a FTF competition!
The co-ordinates at the top of the page are for one of the car
parks in the town.
This cache is not a quick cache and dash and will take a bit of
time to complete.
In order to get the co-ordinates you need to go to the following
locations (which will visit 20 of the plaques) and answer the
questions below. Then with a simple bit of maths you will have what
you need! you will pass by several other caches on route and I
especially recommend you have the co-ordinates etc for Secrets of
The Auld Grey Town - GC1J0H9 with you if you haven't already done
it!
You will find that many of the co-ordinates are a little bit
inaccurate. I have left these on purpose to add a bit of a
challenge. The plaque will be near by!
