The center of the park used to be a pond (belonged to the local painter).
The oldermann of Toomkild Hans Heinrich Falk bought the piece of land, filled the pond up with dirt and planted some trees. Establishing the park cost him 10,000 roubles.
Falk then gave the park to the Toomgild in 1868 and in return the Toomkild had to promise that the park would stay opened to the public and that the park would be taken care of.
In 1860 there were many amusement facilities in the park. In summer the park was rented to the Estonian society “Lootus” (from 1882-1887) that gave summerparties there.
In 1887 the song competition of Harju county choirs took place in Falgi park. 13 choirs took part of the competition, also the orchestras of Saku and Kuusalu.
In 1926, when the Tookild was banned, the park was given to the city government and in 1937 to a sports association.

There is a cache called “Rainbow Forest” in Helsinki (see “User’s web page”).
I had been thinking about hiding a cache to Falgi park for some time already, today I managed to actually put the container to its place.
The park has changed a lot recently. Two very beautiful fountains have been built and the whole park has been woken up to new life.
