Geocache Description:

This is a “two-parter”. This is the coordinates of a car parking area to find The Lazy Cow Catch. However you must visit the traditional cache “The Wooden Snake” first.

This linear walk along an old railway track is very easy going for wheelchairs, pushchairs and bicycles as it was recently resurfaced by the local Council. Ample car parking is available. The co-ords are at a road end. It is then a very short walk to River Witham over the concrete bridge to the track. Please keep children under supervision at all times. Disabled persons, may be able to get to get to the location but will be unlikely to retrieve the cache at the “The Lazy Cow” without help. However, they should enjoy the landscape and who knows you may even see a Kingfisher or two. This is a very popular area with walkers, cyclists and anglers, so there may well be some one in sight of you at the start of the walk. No matter as you should disappear quite quickly.

From “The Wooden Snake cache”, answer the following questions. Then drop your answers in to the following co-ords to get there.

Questions; 1. How many years ago was the Lower Witham Valley regarded as a sacred place? Take the 1st digit from the answer and insert at “A”
2. In what year was the longboat discovered? Take the 3rd digit and insert at “B”
3. The Witham shield was discovered in what year. Take the 1st digit and insert at “C”
4. On the board you will see three white digits, Add the digits on the left and right together, then multiply by the middle digit. Insert at “D”

To retreive the cache
PLACE YOUR HAND JUST INSIDE, "NOT YOUR WHOLE ARM".
It is not necessary to risk scratching yourself.
For those who may be concerned, please wear a glove and a shirt/jumper with sleeves to cover your hand/wrist. I have tested the retreival of the cache many times without any problems whatsoever. ***FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEMS *** (This message added due to comment below from Ginger Gooner for precaution reasons only) The cache is fairly easy to retrieve, but it will be funny, if not hysterical for your accompanying friends, family or colleagues. Please take time to replace it in exactly the position you found it. Have fun, I did setting this catch and I am still laughing. Clues maybe puzzling so us a pen, chew the cud a bit and digest.
