We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy. But what about public transport users? SideTracked Caches are intended to provide quick Cache-and-dashes at Railway Stations.
It is hoped this idea will spread across the country, but if hiding one PLEASE BE SENSIBLE and remember that in this day and age, public transport is under greater scrutiny than ever before, so, although these caches should be quick and easy grabs, PLEASE don’t place a Cache where it could cause alarm!!!
Warrington Bank Quay lies on the West Coast Main Line, operated by Virgin Trains, and also some London Midland services, with regular services to London, Birmingham, and Scotland. A regular regional express service operates between Manchester, Chester and North Wales operated by Arriva Trains Wales. There are also local services to Liverpool operated by Northern Rail, with a couple of these services per day extending to Ellesmere Port via Runcorn East.
You are looking for a magnetic nano cache, you will need to bring your own pen to sign the log sheet, pleaes use maximum stealth as this area can be very busy with muggles! I used to spend many hours here spotting trains (when I was a lot younger)! you may notice the odd slightly soapy smell too, if you look above the station you will see the enourmous Lever Brothers factory which makes soaps and detergents, years ago cars in the station car park parked there for the day would find themselves covered in white residue from the chimneys! after many many complaints the factory has now cleaned up it's act (pardon the pun)!
Extra stealth may be needed due to the queue of taxi's being long at busy times of the day . .
