Geocache Description:

29 August 2009, 00:00 - 13:00

lua file is here:
http://www.floridacaching.com/documents/WherIgoClassroomCart.lua
note that it if you click that link, your browser will OPEN the file as text!
Instead RIGHT CLICK the link on the page, and use "Save Link As" WherIgoClassroomCart.lua - you must add the file extension to get a .lua file that will open in the builder. Or you can go to the page and then on the browser tool bar under file, use "Save Page as" and again, save as WherIgoClassroomCart.lua This version has a variable that we did not build in the class. It's the variable that increments on wrong answers. At 3 wrong answers it adds an action.

Remember, those who have a Wherigo Geocache published and found by someone running the cartridge are in the contest for one of the two coins - FGA Compass Geocoin and a 2008 Volunteer Geocoin At the end of 6 weeks, I'll grab 2 names from the eligible owners ....( there ARE going to be more then 2 new Wherigos, right? )

Wherigo 101: cartridge building. We'll have the room from noon to 5 pm; AC, chairs, tables, internet access, large 'puter screen projection. Those of you who've been waiting for the right moment to build a Wherigo cartridge, the time is now.

Bring your laptop, and join us as we build and field test a simple cart. If all goes according to plan =;-) !?!? you'll leave the event with a cartridge in your own laptop that you can modify at home to suit your very own Wherigo geocache.

If you don't have a laptop, you can still join in and watch; the room is equipped to project the computer screen onto the wall, so it will be possible to follow the cart building process.
We'll build something in ~4 zones that walks around the building or parking lot; develop a couple of zones with questions to answer as multiple choice and/or text entry. You'll find it's easy to modify the zones to your own coords and the questions to something that you can use, once you've run through the process.

M&M Melted, Lbase and FSUDad are planning on attending so there will be plenty help as well as a bunch of Wherigo enabled devices for field testing: the Garmin Oregon and Colorado as well as a couple of Bluetooth enabled Pocket PCs. A cart which will run on these should run on anything.
Please download this event listing with its attached waypoints, they're a starting point for our zone building. Please, download the Wherigo builder here.
