Jednoducha drive-in tematicka multi cache
Obec Leskovice leží u hlavní silnice z Pelhrimova do Tábora,
asi 5 km od hradu Kámen. Do historie málo známé obce se významne
zapsaly události z období konce druhé svetové války. Pri ústupu
nemecké armády, která se chtela dostat na západ, došlo u této obce
k prestrelce s partyzány. Nacisté ve dnech 5.-6. kvetna 1945 ves
vypálili a 25 obyvatel zastrelili. Jen nedostatek casu a rychlý
postup Rudé armády zabránil dokonání díla zkázy.
Po válce byla obec v krátké dobe obnovena. V roce 1961 byl
v sousedství nádraží postaven pomník pripomínající tyto
události a 25 jejich obetí. Autorkou pomníku je socharka
J. Lukešová.

Easy drive-in thematic multi cache
The village of Leskovice is located near the main road from
Pelhrimov to Tabor, about 5 km from the castle of Kamen. For the
history of an unknown village events from the end of World War II
were significant. During the withdrawal of the German Army to the
west there was a gunfight with partisans near the village. From 5th
to 6th May 1945 Nazis burnt out this village and shot its 25
residents to dead. Only the lack of time and qiuck move of the Red
Army prevented from finishing total destruction.
The village was rebuilt in short time after the war. In 1961 a
memorial by sculptress J. Lukešová to remind this event and 25
victims was erected near the railway station.
