ST MARYS, TATSFIELD
Another contribution to this series, started by sadexploration
This is a Grade II listed building on top of the North Downs with views over the Weald to the South Downs. Neolithic tools were found in the adjacent field and it is almost certain that a Saxon wooden church stood on the site. The Nave dates from 1075 and has walls 3’ thick made of flint, and the chancel was added 200 years later.
If you visit this church between Easter and the end of September between 3.00pm and 5.00pm on a Sunday you will be able to have tea and cakes in the church hall.
This is a very simple multi, you can park by the church then find the clues to give you the final cache location which is a short walk away. There is no pencil in this cache so please bring your own.
