The Hungry Sundowner Geese cache is located at a small park in the suburb of Sundowner in the northern suburbs of Randburg. The original cache (GC18MCQ – Sundowner cache) was placed by Wazat about 80m away.
The park has a little dam which gets fed from the run off further upstream. Over the past four years, since placing the original hide, the Dam has changed significantly. A massive sand bank now takes up half the dam and the low level dam wall has been breached. It seems as if the community is getting involved by putting barricades at the breached point in the wall, but to no avail.
The geese are still there and still hungy. Take along some old bread and give them a treat. They also enjoy some vege offcuts.
The cache has been moved from its original location. The original location has now become undesirable and we don't want to share yucky places with our fellow geocachers. It is now near an old remnant of a stone, farm wall. Be on the look out for muggles and please use as much stealth as possible to retrieve and replace the cache.
Place the cache back exactly as found, exercise CITO on the way out. DO NOT attempt this cache at night!!
