CARSHALTON BAPTIST CHURCH
Another contribution to this series, started by sadexploration
Carshalton Baptist Church is attached to Strawberry Lodge, a 17th century Grade II listed building, which was used as a conference centre. The church and Strawberry Lodge were both completely renovated in 1995 and the conference centre was run solely for the benefit of the church and its mission but has recently been changed to a special school 6th form who allow the church to hold their services in the hall on Sundays.
This is a very simple multi, you can park by the church, cross the road to Wilderness Island noticeboard to find the answers to give you the final cache location which is a short walk away.
How tall does the teasel grow (feet) = A
How many eggs does the orange-tip butterfly lay on each plant = B
How many young do the grey wagtails have in each brood = C
How many years does it take for a tadpole to turn into an adult frog = D
How many nature trail posts are there = E
Cache can be found at: N51 22.(C-B)(A-C)(E-C) W000 09.D(E/2)(D-B)
Please keep an eye on small children as there is a river nearby.
If you follow the river upstream through the park you will reach All Saint’s Carshalton CM. If you have children with you there is an excellent children’s play area in the park.
There are two other CMs in Carshalton, All Saints which is opposite the ponds, and Carshalton Methodist in Ruskin Road.
