Querença é uma freguesia do concelho de Loulé, a Norte, em direcção à vasta zona de transição ambiental entre Algarve e Alentejo conhecida como Barrocal.
A aldeia, de ocupação bem antiga, como provam os vestígios pré-históricos encontrados na região, desenvolve-se a partir do alto de um monte, estendendo o casario branco pela encosta marcada por ladeiras íngremes e empedradas.
Barras azuis emolduram portas e janelas, e algumas chaminés rendilhadas, redondas e rectangulares, vão decorando os telhados bem visíveis. Platibandas ricamente trabalhadas marcam alguns edifícios ao longo da subida, que termina perto da bonita Igreja Matriz.
Querença é conhecida pelas suas saborosas chouriças e pela boa qualidade da aguardente de medronho, destilada por processos seculares. Talvez por isso, a população local orgulha-se de realizar, em Janeiro, a Festa das Chouriças. A Páscoa é assinalada com a Festa dos Folares e, em Agosto, na Festa dos Petiscos, o visitante pode apreciar as iguarias típicas da região.
Galinha de cabidela e papas de xerém são duas das muitas especialidades da terra, que, a juntar à paisagem fresca e verdejante, justificam plenamente o passeio.
É uma aldeia que conserva boa parte da sua traça tradicional, com uma praça muito típica (embora tenha sido recentemente alvo de uma remodelação), rematada por uma igreja com uma interessante decoração interior.
A CACHE pretende levar o jogador a percorrer a pé a aldeia. Cerca de 500 m do principio ao fim. Na praça central não é possível estacionar.

Querença is a parish in the municipality of Loulé, in the sierra located north, towards the broad area of environmental transition between Algarve and Alentejo known as Barrocal.
The village has an ancient occupation, as evidence the prehistoric remains found in the region. It is located on top of a hill, white houses extending the slope marked by steep slopes and pave.
Blue bars frame doors and windows, and some laced chimneys, round and rectangular, and will decorate the roofs visible. Richly worked Platibandas mark some buildings along the climb, ending near the beautiful Church.
Querença is known for its delicious sausages and the quality of the spirit of arbutus, distilled by secular processes. Perhaps because of this, the local population is proud to perform in January, the festival of sausages. The Easter festival is marked with the Folares (typical easter portuguese cakes) and in August, the Feast of Tapas, the visitor can enjoy the delicacies typical of the region.
Giblets from chicken and mashed Xerém are two of the many specialties of the land, which, in addition to the landscape green and fresh, fully justify the trip.
It is a village that retains much of its traditional outlines, with a very typical place (although recently a renovation was made to it), centered by a church with an interesting interior decoration.

This cache goal is to take the visitor to walk the streets of typical village of Querença. Around 500 meters total walk from start to end. No parking available at the center square.
To find the cache you must answer the following questions:
A = At the church next to start point, how many steps do you have to climb from the "lobby" to the road (even number)?
B = On the nearby wall, how many tiles are on the "Caminho do Pombal" sign?

Now look around and count the flag poles (C) and the stone cubes in front of them (DE).
