Geocache Description:

Giant lime tree in the cemetery of a small village, Szokedencs.

This giant lime tree has been in the center of attention recently, as it was in danger because of some pests. But I've already known this tree before, just like many people that pass it on the highway towards Nagykanizsa. The estimated age of the tree is seven hundred years, that is, it goes back to the extinction of the Árpád dynasty, the first kings of Hungary.

Strange, I needed cable TV and geocaching to come back to the place where half a dozen relatives of mine lie, my great-grandfather, too.

The terrain is easy, I recommend this cache to everyone.

The tree is officially protected. You can find the box without hurting it, please respect it and search carefully!

This cache is known as GC700H on www.geocaching.hu, (visit link)
