Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the coordinates above.

There are two ways to solve this puzzle. The "easy" solution leads to a location, which yields two clues to help solve the "tricky" version and thus put you out of your misery. The "tricky" version, on the other hand, leads straight to the cache.

The "easy" route

N51 and W0 as usual, and 10=0 if needed.

Ben Macdui.High Willhays Urra Moor The Cheviot
Pen y Fan.Snowdon Bath Hills

That should lead you to a place where you will find an object with writing on it - ignore repeats, just use one half.

There are nine numbers (3 numbers with 3 digits each). Write these as ABCDEFGHI in the order they appear from top to bottom.

Your first clue is the date: (I-A)B.(C-D)(F+G).(B-C)EHG

Your second clue is the word, which starts 4th line last letter, 5th line 3rd letter, 2nd line 4th letter and ends 1st line 6th letter.

As my contribution to the credit squeeze - if you solve the location for this part and want to save the cost of driving there and finding it, send me the solution and I will send you a picture of the object.

The "tricky" route

One where you will definitely need your PCs, I'm afraid.

A = A dozen pies
B = Professor Lupin
C = May 1st
D = Japanese pinball
E = Lysergic acid diethylamide

Again, assuming N51 and W0, the cache is at:

(B-A)-(B1+B2+B4).(C3+E3)(D1+D4)A4
(B-A)-(B1+E1).(C4+D3)(A1+A2+A4)A3

The Prize!!!

The prize is a copy of a thriller based round geocaching, which the FTF will find in the cache, because I'm feeling generous.

Bonus p(o)ints will be awarded to those, who can write their log in the appropriate style without giving the game away.
