Geocache Description:


This cache is part of our It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World series. The caches are placed at various locations where the movie was actually filmed. Kind of fun to think that you are standing right where the original actors were when they were filming.

This scene is one where Ethel Merman is trying to reach her son on the payphone at the gas station. He's too busy to answer because he is dancing with his beatnik girlfriend. She's with Jonathan Winters and Dorothy Provine. As they are arriving, Milton Berle and Terry Thomas are leaving in the Jeep.

This location is a 7-11 convenience store today. Across the street is the Jeep dealer where we bought our Cachemobile. If you watch the movie, the buildings at the dealership are visible in the scene and are still standing today.
