I thought it would be fun to see how many new cache sites I could find near to Mills in my local area. These will include Watermills and Windmills, some still in use, some now used for other purposes. Most mills are sited in nice surroundings, so I hope you will enjoy visiting them. I will be adding new caches to this series over the next few months.
All the micros are hidden right on public footpaths. None of them will be very close to private houses. Some of them are near public highways, but many are along private roadways, with only footpath access. Please park considerately, and do not drive along any private roads to access the caches.
Highbridge Mill is shown on my explorer map, about half a mile south of Cuckfield. There is no footpath near the actual mill site, so I do not know if it still exists as a mill, or is now just a private dwelling. I have placed the cache near the Oldmill Cottages to the west of the main road. I would suggest parking in Deaks Lane, near the western end of the bridleway.
