There have been lots of challenge caches put together lately, so
we decided to come up with one of our own. You must find or have
found (previous finds count) a cache within each of the following
elevation bands: 0-999, 1000-1999, 2000-2999, 3000-3999, 4000-4999,
5000-5999, 6000-6999, 7000-7999, 8000-8999, 9000-9999, and 10000+
feet. Extra kudos to cachers that list caches in other elevation
bands not needed for this cache such as: Below sea level,
11000-11999, 12000-12999, and 13000+.
Caches DO NOT need to have been found in Utah even though the
cache is located in Utah. Any type of cache will work. Have fun
with this challenge.
There are several ways to find the elevations of caches, but
what I did was import a “my finds query” into Google Earth, then
put my mouse over the cache to show me the elevation. The
elevation’s DO NOT need to be exact, and approximate elevation
works just fine.
You must complete the challenge and find the cache container
to log this cache as "Found." As with any challenge cache, anyone
can find it, but only those that meet the requirements, may log it
as "found". I encourage you to take along a friend for the hike up
to the cache, I would not want to be doing it alone!
