This one is hidden for the adventurous cachers that enjoy hiking into mountainous terrain to see some spectacular waterfalls.
Wildcat Falls is located deep in the Nantahala Forest on SlickRock Creek. It has four drops as it cascades over the rocks of SlickRock Creek in about a 300ft section. There is a large pool at the base of the lower falls that is suitable for swimming.
You can use SlickRock trail #42 to access this area.
We came in from the Big Fat Gap on trail #41 (Big Fat) down to the creek.
You will be faced with several deep creek crossings and a long steep climb back out, but it is well worth the trip. Be mindful of the weather, as this creek will turn into a raging river after a rain storm..Please put in a good effort on the re-hide for me.
