Geocache Description:

You will need a boat or a good swim to get to this island called The Lynch on the Thames near Shiplake.

A superb out of the way spot accessible to Pirates and ship mates where many of the narrow boats from Reading moor up. The island has a few public (free) mooring spots and the cache is accessible from all. Just be aware with tree cover I was getting +- 5m accuracy. You want to be at the northern most point of the Eastern island and find a big tree. (there are 2).
From here you have a great view down river.
If you are brave and boat-less, follow the path on the northern river bank, spot the island and jump in. The river is really nice and clean these days.
