Miradouro do Caldeirão [Loulé]

O Miradouro da Serra do Caldeirão está situado na freguesia do Ameixial, do concelho de Loulé, a 575 metros de altitude. Este miradouro, proporciona uma agradável paisagem sobre a Serra do Caldeirão, e encontra-se situado num ponto fronteiriço entre o barrocal Algarvio e as peneplanícies do Baixo Alentejo.

Do alto do Miradouro da Serra do Caldeirão é possível contemplar os belos recursos naturais da Serra do Caldeirão, que apesar da sua modesta altitude, forma uma paisagem muito peculiar, onde cerros arredondados, são cortados por uma densa rede hidrográfica, que na sua maior parte é constituída por cursos de água temporários.

A influência climática da Serra do Caldeirão é muito grande, pois constitui uma barreira física à passagem dos ventos frios do quadrante Norte e às depressões de Noroeste, contribuindo para a existência de um clima mediterrânico no litoral algarvio, com fracas precipitações anuais e temperaturas suaves no Inverno.

Aproveitem o passeio até ao ponto zero, para apreciar a beleza da Serra do Caldeirão e divirtam-se.

The Viewpoint of Serra do Caldeirão is situated in the parish of Ameixial, in the district of Loulé, at 575 meters of altitude. This viewpoint, provide a pleasant scenery of Serra do Caldeirão, and it's situated in a frontier point between the interior of Algarve and the plains of Baixo Alentejo.

From the top of the Viewpoint of Serra do Caldeirão it is possible to contemplate the beautiful natural resources of Serra do Caldeirão, which in spite of it's modest altitude, forms a very special scenery, where mountains rounded up, are cut by a dense hydrographic net, which almost are constituted by temporary courses of water.
The climatic influence of Serra do Caldeirão is very big, since it constitutes a physical barrier to the passage of the cold winds of the Northern quadrant and to the depressions of Northwest, contributing to the existence of a Mediterranean climate in the Algarve coast, with weak annual haste and gentle temperatures in the Winter.
