Geocache Description:

The Case Threshing Company Factory was built in 1900, and sits at the beginning of what was then known as Machinery Row. The building is 101' X 126' and has three stories plus a basement. The basement was used for Engine repair. The first floor was used for Engine manufacturing and offices. The second floor was used for general repairs, and on the third floor was Seperator manufacture. The Factory ceased operation in 1909. It is not clear why, but many assume that with the Railroad going through town it was cheaper to ship items than to maintain several differant factories.

Today the building houses office space, and a look inside the lobby is well worth it, as there are many photos from the glory days of Fargo's Machinery row.
