IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT CLIMBING UP FROM THE SHOULDER OF A ROAD TO FIND THIS CACHE, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!!!!! Park at coords N39°40.984' by W-105°36.481' and go DOWNHILL for this one. Mountainous terrain, fairly well hidden at 9753' elevation. Watch for loose rock and slippery footing. PLEASE BE SAFE.
This is an ammo-can initially filled with trinkets, toys, a wooden nickle, two "Fallen Hero's" Geocoins, a logbook and a pen. The cache is hidden in a picnic area with limited, basic 'facilities'. Children could find this cache with lots of parental supervision. The area is typical Rocky Mountain terrain, so expect some rocks and underbrush. Fallen and cut trees have made this hide a lot more "interesting". Please be sure to return everything the way you found it. Watch for Muggles. The cache was placed with a Garmin E-Trex GPS with the DOP reading 6ft accuracy. This is my first cache and was placed in remembrance of a wonderful day spent at this location.
This cache was transferred to silver-eagle as Tink's-Lover could no longer care for it. Please direct all questions and comments to silver-eagle. Thanks
Congratulations to isisfan for being FTF!!!
Ants seems to have found our cache too - - beware!! Sturdy footware seems to be in order.
If you find a Geocoin in this cache, and decide to take it, please leave one in its place. That way there will always be a coin for the next lucky person. Thanks !!
