Surf's Up!
With the winds that blow constantly through here and the Bore tides this looks like a good place for a surf shop. So wax up your longboard, put on your dry suit (baggies optional) and head for the hills.
Rumor has it every hundred years or so a wave sails in here that is so big no man (nor woman, child, mouse or monkey either for that matter) could ride it. It is rumored to move at a hundred miles an hour and tower 1000' above the waterline. It comes from deep in the Southern Hemisphere when a strong Easterly wind pushes through Cape Horn creating a backwash of disturbed water which rushes through the Strait and collides with the current flow off the coast of New Zealand which makes a beeline North crushing the low lying islands of Tarawa as it builds up momentum in its vision quest North. After so much open ocean when it finally reaches the coastal waters of Alaska it has reached mountainous proportions and stands as the lone unridable wave. Beyond the Big Kahuna, mightier than any Avalanche, this is definitely no Ankle Breaker.
This is one Bombra Cruncher and it only comes around once. So here is where I set up shop. All stocked up and ready for business. Now when that Boss Heavy rolls through we will be ready here with the Big Guns, amped to hit the surf.
So don't be a Hoodad and get yourself down here (or up here as the case may be) and get ready for an Alaskan safari. Don't be afraid of taking gas or this gnarly cruncher will take your stick into the soup.
Kooks and Posers need not apply as this mondo honker will tail your doors. So sport your Pendleton and drag your Woodie down Rainbow way and chill while we wait for the primo bombora.
Don't get caught in the bone yard and try to keep from getting beached. The shop is full of what you need for good day shooting the pier. All stocked up and open for business. Bring me a longboard, Banzai!!!
