Pete was kind of a geek, but he didn't drink coffee. He had a huge crush on this girl, but she didn't even know he existed. He was dying to think up a way to meet her, but didn't think he could just reuse the pickup line that his friend James had used to get his girl. Anyway, she was more of an artsy type than James's girlfriend; so Pete figured he needed something a little more abstract.
He wasn't about to wait seven months for Valentine's Day; so finally he figured he'd just paint her a picture. He found her in the Museum of Art admiring one of her favorites, and without speaking a word, he handed her a card with his artwork:
Like his friend James, Pete doesn't have much in the way of social skills, but the girl looked at the card, smiled, and started to speak to him. They had a nice little chat and left the museum, hand in hand, heading off to hide a cache.
