Nottveitsætri Traditional Geocache

Nottveit is a farm in Modalen. Until 1996 there was no road, and the only means of transportation were by boat or across the mountains. Like every other farm in this area, Nottveit also had a summer pasture in the mountains. The cache is located not far from the houses.

There is good parking by the road. There is about 250 vertical meters up to the cache at about 330 meters above sea level - about one hour walking from the road. The trail is never steep or exposed in any way. Make sure you don't end up in Eiterdalen - turn right when the trail splits!
