With a my 1st potential cache meet looming on Tuesday i decided to take advantage of my spare time to go and do a reccie. The initial idea being to look for a bridge of an extreme cache. But there is a distinct lack of suitable bridges here so after checking out 7 binned that idea but did find this magic spot.
The cache is not quite a drive by but should take you less than 15mins. You can turn up the road by the cricket club and there is masses of public carparking, it says for green users only (ie not comercial traffic) You can drive right to the far end of the carparking (near the skate board park) which puts you within 3 mins walk of the cache site. The path is good, although there are a few potholes. Got my wheelchair along it with no issues.
You are looking for a v.small container with just a log book and no room for pencil so please bring your own.
GPS coverage under the current tree canopy is patchy but the cache is on the footpath and there is a hint available.
Do not start this cache UNLESS you are confident you can replace it. Please note the difficulty rating. To log a "Found it" log, you must first retrieve the cache, then sign the log sheet and finally replace it at its "home". Logs that do not meet those requirements will be deleted.
