The Starting Point
If you choose to accept this mission, be
prepared to move from your armchair. The quest begins in a
special place that our children, long ago, pretended to be the
entrance to their own Secret
Garden. Here, you will find a small cache with a short
message and log sheet. The message will contain the
coordinates for WP2 and a hint, should it be necessary.
Please sign and date the log sheet. When you log WP1, on this
web site, please do so with a note. All stages must be found and
logged in the proper sequence.

prepare-se para deixar o conforto do seu sofá. A aventura
começa num local especial onde em tempos as nossas crianças
fingiam ser a entrada do seu Jardim Secreto. Aqui vai
encontrar uma pequena cache com uma curta mensagem e um
diário. A mensagem contém as coordenadas do segundo ponto e
uma dica, caso seja necessário. Por favor assine e date este
diário. Se quiser registar o achamento da primeira cache por
favor faça-o com uma nota. Todas as estapas desta cache devem
ser encontradas e registadas na devida
sequência

The Meeting
Point
Unless you are a frequent
flyer (or work for an airline), you may need some help (from
another cacher) finding the second waypoint. The waypoint is
in the "Garden of Knowledge" in Porto, Portugal. The
coordinates for the final cache and a hint can be found in the
cache at WP2. Please sign and date the log sheet.

precisar de ajuda de um outro geocacher para encontrar a
segunda cache. A segunda cache encontra-se no “Jardim do
Conhecimento” na cidade do Porto, Portugal, aí vai encontrar
as coordenadas, a dica da cache final e um diário. Por
favor assine e date este diário.
The Garden of Knowledge
It was a gift from the city
of Ponte de Lima to the city of Porto, the main part of this garden
was exposed in the second International Garden Festival in 2006.
The Project from the architect Manuel de Carvalho Sousa pretends to
represent the knowledge by the shape, color, vegetation and
symbology of the plants. The garden has the shape of a brain
surmounted to the visit route in an analogy to the superiority of
knowledge. The surrounding vegetation is grey as to represent the
grey matter which is associated with wisdom.. The four olive trees
symbolize the knowledge of the four corners of the world and the
four elements of the classic antiquity cosmos.
O Jardim do
Conhecimento
Oferta da Câmara Municipal de Ponte de Lima ao
município portuense, o núcleo central do jardim esteve
exposto no 2º Festival Internacional de Jardins em 2006. O
projecto de autoria do Arquitecto Paisagista Manuel de
Carvalho Sousa, pretende representar o conhecimento através
da forma, da cor, da vegetação e da simbologia das plantas. O
jardim possui a forma de um cérebro sobrelevado em relação ao
percurso de visita, numa analogia à superioridade do
conhecimento. A vegetação envolvente de cor cinza procura
representar a massa cinzenta, à qual se associa a sabedoria.
E as quatro oliveiras simbolizam o conhecimento dos quatro
cantos do mundo e dos quatro elementos constituintes do
cosmos da antiguidade clássica.

The Cache
You will be hunting a clear
SnapLock container. It has a log book, a pencil and some
trade items.
Once you
find the final cache, log your find and mention the name of the
cacher who helped you find the cache. Your partner may then log the
cache as found and should mention your name. Cachers (or team of
cachers) at the other end (Portugal) may help only one cacher (or
team of cachers) from the USA. The idea is to make this an
International Meet and Greet -- at least by Geocaching.com contact. Please do
not give away the exact cache locations in any logs or photos that
you post.

internacional, pelo menos através de contactos no
Geocaching.com. Por favor não revele a localização exacta das
caches quer através de logs quer através de
fotografias.
