Hp in the Park Traditional Geocache
GEO936: Unfortunately, we have had to install a new electric fence, which makes retrieving the cache a huge risk. We don't want our fellow cachers to get zapped, so sadly, very sadly, we have to archive our very FIRST cache. It did well over the years and we thank everyone who came to find it!

The cache is in a safe location, is a 15cm x 15cm x 5cm container and suitable for TB and Geocoins.
Horse power (Hp) is an age old term describing a non metric term of power. Hp was discovered in 1872 by James Watt and is still used today in the automotive industry, describing the power of the internal combustion engine. In the old days, a horse was the source of power for movement, the more horses you had, the more work you could do or the faster you could move. In today’s world, nothing has changed. The more horses you have under the bonnet, the faster you can accelerate. The down side of having all those horses under the bonnet is that they need to be fed fuel. The boys will always argue whose horses are real horses and whose are ponies, hence the introduction of the kilowatt (kW) measurement. It has become the international measurement of power for the internal combustion engine.
Strijdom Park is an industrial area in the heart of Randburg, close to the N3 highway. Strijdom Park has been in existence for over 40 years and through time has become an automotive hub. You can find all the major automotive manufacturers here retailing or servicing their vehicles. Panel beaters, spares shops, scarp yards, motorbike dealers, performance tuning and vehicle accessories, just to mention a few, are all crammed into the small area of Strijdom Park. The cache is located near one of the oldest buildings in the area.
The cache is secured in the premises of a company next to the highway. This cache CAN NOT BE ACCESSED FROM THE HIGHWAY!! Parking is available on the street, just 3 meters away, and can be accessed all day, every day. Security patrols the area 24/7. Avoid coming after dark, just in case. Look out for muggles! Avoid rush hour traffic times (07:30 and 16:30) as this spot is used as a bus stop during the week.
From the road, reach your hand through the fence. Pretend to sit on the lawn and have lunch when examining the cache. The contents of the cache are car related and the cache is suitable for travel bugs.
The owner of the company knows about the cache, but not where it is!
