A fairly quick find along the Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway.
We decided to take a little Fathers Day trip along the Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway, and happened to have our caching supplies with us, so we placed a couple caches. This one is located across the road from a nice little scenic turnout. Be sure to read the sign where you park, it has some interesting geological information. A little research before hitting the road on this one can really pay off. The scenic byway has lots to offer, including numerous trails to hike, a ghost town to explore, and digging for quartz crystal at the Crystal Park. This could even be a weekend expedition as there are numerous campgrounds along the byway to spend a night or two. The cache itself is a decon container, shouldn't be too hard to find we hope. Enjoy your trip along the scenic byway and be sure to research the other caches along the way.
