Geocache Description:

The first round of golf was played at Redhill and Reigate Golf Club on 10th November 1887, making it the second oldest club in Surrey. Although a private members club, the course is situated on parkland and is acessible to walkers with a number of trails covering the course. If anyone wanted to take in a round whilst completeing this series of caches, do not be mislead into thinking that a Par 68 makes for a easy round. Nearly all the holes are tree lined and require accuracy rather than brute force.

The RRGC Birdie Bonus Cache can only be completed after finding 2 other caches place around the course. These are Green and a Tee, and 2 Greens and a Tee. Both are 35mm film cannister caches which contain an easy to solve puzzle related to the golf holes they are nearby and their respective lengths, par scores and stroke indexes. ALL distances used are if you were playing from the yellow tees and the pars and stroke indexes used in the puzzles are for the men. A copy of the scorecard would help, but is not necessary if you do not mind walking a bit further.
You can print one from the clubs website at
www.redhillandreigategolfclub.co.uk and then follow the links to The Course and then Coursecard.

The co-ordinates entered above are abviously not for the cache, but the car park at Earlswood Lakes which offer free parking and a nice area for a cuppa after your walk.

The cache itself is at N 51 13 3BA, W 000 11 2CD

The cache contains a few golfing accessories and it would be great if swops could be of a similar nature, but do not worry if they are not.

PLEASE ENSURE THE CACHE IS WELL COVERED WITH LEAVES & STICKS TO PREVENT FURTHER MUGGLING.
