Geocache Description:

This cache was originally placed for the "Keepers of the Cache" Event - hosted by CrystalFairy, Team Ginger & Sh0w Me The Cache.

The location of this cache is quite random and could have been put up anywhere – just in the same way RDP Houses seem to pop up anywhere almost overnight.
You don't have to drive through boom gates to get to this cache. If your GPS takes you to a security check point, try a different (more scenic) route.

We had a great time hiding it and hope you’ll have as much fun finding it too!

Please note that RDP Houses are built for numbers and not for quality. It is, therefore fragile to human handling. This RDP House was upgraded in 2016 and re-established by the Ginger-municipality at this place.

IMPORTANT: The house itself is fixed and cannot be removed from its 'foundation'. Please take care when retrieving the log sheet from the fixed container.

Note:
Previously, this listing referred to Bakwena Cave. The RDP House was only built on route to this cave and had nothing to do with the cave, but cachers misread my listing and kept asking where the cave was.
The area around this cave has now been built up and one has to go through a security gate to visit it. The Cave was known as “The Cave of Death” and was both a refuge and a tomb for many of the Kwena People in earlier years.
If you would like to know where the cave is, visit the archived listing of 'Bakwena Cache' (GCPZR6).
