Geocache Description:

This microcache is placed at a picnic site near the bubbling springs where you will find quicksand.

This site is a nice quiet pull-off where you will find picnic tables, bear-proof garbage container, toilet and emergency telephone. Mr DAPS frequently picniced here in the early 1960s while surveying the reconstruction of the highway through this valley.
Bubbling Springs is a natural pool of quicksand. Quicksand is sand that is unstable because there is upward pressure of water. Hence the name Bubbling Springs. The sand particles don't get a chance to stick together and can't support anything with any weight.
Because this is in a national park, there are to be no trade items (including travel bugs) left in this container.
