SideTracked - Southampton Central Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

37251: Will archive this after many years. It's always hard to maintain an urban cache, especially one which has gone missing so many times.

Thanks to all previous finders.

Geocache Description:

A cache located near to Southampton Central station, Hampshire.

Southampton Central station was opened as Southampton West in 1895, to replace the original Blechynden/West End station. It was enlarged in 1934-1935 (from two platforms to four), and became Southampton Central. Soon after the closure of Southampton Terminus station near the docks in 1966, the station was rebuilt in 1967, losing its clocktower which was replaced with an office block. At this point it was renamed Southampton, although in the early 1990s it was once again renamed Southampton Central.

If you do this cache by train, leave via the exit on platform 4, go up the steps opposite (slightly to the right) and follow the path onto Central Bridge, but cross the road here instead of going over the bridge itself.

You are looking for a keysafe container.
