A mixture of footpaths and tracks depending on your approach. Lots of stiles to cross on the route we took. Tall nettles in one section, children beware!
It is possible to do a circular route to extend the walk and give varied terrain with a good view over the valley. All paths are clearly signposted. Tree cover is quite dense in the cache location.
