The Hungarian Parliament Building (Hungarian: Országház) is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, one of Europe's oldest legislative buildings, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination of Budapest.

It is located in Budapest, on Kossuth Lajos Square, on the banks of the Danube. It is currently the largest building in Hungary and the second largest parliament in Europe. The Hungarian House of Parliament was designed by Imre Steindl, who unfortunately died before the building was completed.
The construction of the Parliament began on 12 October 1885. On average, 1,000 workers worked at one time, the construction lasted 17 years. It was the greatest investment of that time. And the builders strove to use - whenever it was possible - Hungarian technology and Hungarian master craftsmen, entire industries flourished. The total cost ballooned from 18.5 million to 38 million gold crowns. (Around 176,000 cubic meters of soil had been moved and 40 million bricks had been used. In addition, more than half a million ornamental stones were carved for the wall decorations.)
Aesthetically, the main facade faces the Danube, but the official main entrances open onto Kossuth square. With its symmetrical structure, the building corresponds to the functions of a bicameral parliament. Since the end of World War II, the building has also hosted the executive branch. The northern wing houses the offices of the Prime Minister, while the southern wing contains those of the President of the Republic. And in the corner rooms of the northern wing the Speaker of parliament has his offices.
