Erdody castle in Doba
The settlement at the North foot of the Somlo hill was first mentioned as Terra Doba (Doba’s land) in 1288. the village first belonged to Pal Kinizsi then to the Erdody family in the middle ages. This family built the Erdody castle one of the major sights of the village. The castle that is presently used as a psychiatric hospital had an English park created around it from the surrounding oak forest. 1. the plastic bottle.
Zichy castle in Somloszolos
The Zichy castle is in a very poor condition right now. The original open-fire kitchen can still be seen in the cellar. Lajos and Karoly Watzdorff, the last owners of the castle settled in Graz, Austria and are buried there. The Johannita Knights emblem, the nine pointed rown and the two lions, is included in the heraldry of the castleThe heraldry on the entrance of the tomb is in a very good condition. 2.
