This cache is located in the Danskin Mountains OHV Area and is a
short distance from a scenic overlook on trail 317. There is a pull
off area to safely get off the trail and can be accessed by an ATV
or motorcycle.
The cache is overlooking Big Fiddler and is a plastic cylinder with
a screw on cap. I will replace it with something more rugged on my
next trip up. Contents to start is an ATV/Motorcycle tire patch
kit, logbook and a pen and pencil. This was an impromptu cache drop
so I didn't have much to put into it. The view is what this one is
all about.
If coming in from the southeast (Mtn Home) you will want to use the
Case Creek trailhead at N43 25.505, W115 44.235. From there go on
167, left onto 197 and then right onto 317. If coming from the West
(Boise) you can use the Bender Creek trailhead at N43 31.670, W115
52.100. From here take 300 all the way until you get to 317 on the
left.
