As of 9/13 at 4:45pm the cache contains 14 pints = 7 qts = 1.75 gallons - thanks and keep it comming.
As of 9/13 at 5:04pm I have just heard that the Red Cross need money more then blood right. I have found a Red Cross donation cache
. Don't stop donating blood but it looks like you can wait till the lines go down - there is always a need.
As of 9/14 at 8:20 am, Last night I was informed that Geocacher has started a candlelight vigil cache (now archived). I couldn't find it then - perhaps it was not yet approved yet but found it this morning. Please visit it.
As of 9/14 at 7:30pm we have 16 pints (2 gallons) of blood actually in the cache -ending with wtmrn . An additional 9 pints (1.125 gallons) are pledged The update for 9/13 at 4:45pm had a math mistake that is now corrected.
As of 9/19 at 8:34pm about 1 week after the atrocity we have 21 pints in the cache (2.625 gallons) and another 12 pints (1.5 gallons) pledged -ending with Lone Ranger . The candlelight vigil is now archived and the link to it removed from this page. Please keep it comming.
As of 9/30 at 8:27pm we have 34 ( pints of blood in the cache (4.25 gallons) and another 15 pints (1.875 gallons) pledged for a total of 49 pints (6.125 gallons) - ending with The Nelson's. The Red Cross Donation cache is archived and the link removed.
As of 10/06 at 4:43pm we have 37 ( pints of blood in the cache (4.625 gallons) and another 15 pints (1.875 gallons) pledged for a total of 52 pints (6.5 gallons) - ending with sewardvanlee. The cache is now archived and we as a nation must move on. Thank you all and remember you can still donate blood even without the cache.
This 'cache' was set up to help motivate people to donate, allow them to help and let them feel they helped in this tragic time. There is some who would like this 'cache' archived as it is not a true cache. At this time I must agree and I plan to archive the cache. Since I have received some inquiries I plan to leave the cache open till this weekend so you have this week log your find but a lifetime to donate. No posts to this log will be deleted by me.
