This park is very close to where I grew up, 'the park' as myself
and my brothers used to call it was where we spent allot of our
weekday afternoons and weekends.
These days the park is looking a bit worse for wear, since the
local high school was built the park and it's surrounds has been
heavily affected by vandalism. The park has been repaired on a few
occasions and is still a nice place to take kids for a play on the
equipment, kick around a football or fly a kite.
The ACT Government's
Territory and municipal services website lists the public
playgrounds due to be upgraded in the current financial year. At
this point 'the park' is not listed as a priority. Hopefully one
day it will be as I would like to take my children here to see it
as it's meant to be.
The cache itself is a short walk away from the play equipment to
avoid being muggled.
