Geocache Description:

Moon Walk

This, “Moon Walk” cache is hidden not in the most famous place but in a cluster of bays, which forms Macronissos beach, a white sand beach. The three bays stretch out in different directions one to the west, second to the southwest, whereas the third one stretches in a south-easterly direction with the result that is well sheltered from winds. This place is only six kilometres west of Ayia Napa.

Ayia Napa is one village with the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean Sea. The turquoise clear waters and golden sands of its beaches attract visitors to an unforgettable holiday. Some of these beaches are Nissi Beach, Nissi Bay and Sandy Bay. There are all necessary facilities and many water sports at most of these beaches during summer time.

The southwest coast of the non-occupied area of Cyprus is considered paradise due to its fascinating beaches. The sands are silvery velvet and cover the area which is the main attraction to visitors. Travelling from west to east one comes across many beaches.

You can start your journey in the parking at N 34° 59.029 E 033° 57.271
From there walk the path to N 34° 58.883 E 033° 57.246 where you can visit the Hellenistic and Roman period cemetery. An area of interest and has many tombs. Then visit the cache exploiting the area.

Moon walk is placed where no one knows the real history of it. Been near the Hellenistic and Roman period cemetery and the kind of landscape that is there I believe are linked together. Anyway, make your own conclusions.

Take a pen or pencil with you to log in please since it is a micro cache and contains only a micro log sheet and a FTF micro certificate.

NOTE: Replace as found please.
Also during summer time, bring a lot of water with you since in Cyprus is very hot (40+ Celcius). Stealth is also required as it will be crowded during summer time.

We hope you will enjoy it.
