Ahh yes, that crazy German lady
! No I am not being disrespectful
here for
VerrueckteFrau translates to "Crazy Woman" in German.
Really it does, just ask her. Not a day goes by that VF and I
don't converse in some way be it about one of our hides, hints for
a cache that we may be having difficulty with, trying to grab an
FTF, who is leading who in percentage of finds (on each others
hides, I'm leading by the way
) or perhaps its planning another
Geolunch. I am proud to say that VF has become a great
friend not only to me but to the entire Geocaching
Community.
If you happen to hunt any one
of VF's hides, you will find some of the most creative, unique and
well maintained caches in our area. She is very good not only
about making sure that the hides are in the right place, that the
coords are accurate and that plenty of clues are present where
needed, but she also probably has some of the best stocked caches I
have ever seen with some very cool swag for all ages to
enjoy.
Let's not forget that she always carries
her "Geomedic" kit while caching and is constantly replacing torn
ziplocks, inserting ones where missing, adding a pencil for the
log, or doing what ever part she can to help the cache owner out
with a little maintenance.
Recently VF has hidden a few
caches as tributes to other cachers whom she has had the pleasure
of hunting 10 or more of their caches. I just happen to be
one of the proud recipients of one of these fine and unique
hides. This cache is kind of a "Pay it Forward" cache in that
I invite all who hunt it to place a cache recognizing a cacher that
has given you numerous hunts and enjoyment or perhaps has been
otherwise influential in your caching adventures.
We ahve also launched a new
Travel Bug in this cache and he is called "Germania Bear". He just
happened to be left in one of my caches by VerrueckteFrau and he is
now on a special mission. Antje, thanks for all the fun; this one's
for you and I am proud to consider you my friend, keep up the great
work girl!
