Hidden in a prescribed fire that was lit here in October 2007. This cache can be found on the North side of the road. To get there take Mammoth Rd, then take a right on the Hatch Rd. Park off the dirt road, but be respectful of the meadow, don't get off the dirt, there's plenty of room to pull off. Not too far off the road, get in the "black."
Cache container is water tight and freezer proof. Large container with some Smokey Bear stuff and other fun treasures.
Prescribed fires are used to clear dead and downed debris from the forest, to help make it more healthy and to mimic natural fire in the forest ecosystem. They are beneficial to the forest and its inhabitants. For more information on prescribed fires visit: (visit link)
