Intrigued by all the hoo-ha surrounding a cache in Florida
(GC17T7C, by LionsLair), I got in touch with the cache owner
and asked about the hiding technique.
I then attempted to duplicate the hide (although I don't think
that gorse was involved in the original).
I hope there won't be the unpleasant e-mails ...
It's a bit of a difficult one to locate even though there's
nothing complicated about it. If you don't have much patience: stay
away! I should point out that I didn't create or improve the hiding
place in any way, and used no tools to place the cache (and you
won't need any, nor do you need to take anything apart).
Note that you should be able to avoid getting scratched, and that
GPS signal was excellent when I hid the container; and the
coordinates have been confirmed as spot-on after many visits. You
won't need to leave the good path (note the terrain rating), and a
small child would be able to reach the cache without assistance or
peril.
There was room for a log book and pencil in the cache, which is
about average-sized for a micro.
Warning: don't poke around in the mudbank as bees nest there!
Please replace exactly as found. It was just about visible last
time I left it, but reinstatement might take a few minutes. There
should be no sign of a search afterwards.
