Geocache Description:

This is a cache to commemorate the glorious birth of my beautiful granddaughter Sage Marie. The cache is round lock-n-lock and has some toys. Please hide the cache well and be careful not to be seen retrieving and replacing the cache. There is plenty of replacement camo nearby.

Please note: While not a restricted area this is an Oak Savanna which is a "Ecological Management Site". Please use the listed trailheads for caching in the area. For more information see the sign at the Washington Bl Trailhead for more information. Please tread lightly and CITO!

Sage Marie at 1.5 Years

This is located not far from The Trailside Museum. This was a favorite destination for me and my kids. We would stop by and see the animals and then go for a stroll around the lagoon.

The terrain can be a little tricky near the cache but there are nice trails nearby.

Congrats to flydad on the actual FTF! Way to go!

Harold “Hal” Tyrell Trailside Museum

Built in 1874 and nestled in one of Cook County’s richest savannahs.

The museum is the site of Cook County’s wildlife rehabilitation center for orphaned and injured native animals. These animals will be cared for until they may be released to natural habitat.
