Der Naturkundliche Lehrpfad „Rund um die Fladensteine“ im Bundenthaler Wald möchte auf zahlreichen Lehrtafeln u.a. auf die Besonderheiten im Bereich der Geologie und des Bodens von Buntsandsteinfelsen hinweisen.
Am Anfang des Lehrpfades liegen als Beispiele magmatisches Tiefengestein, subvulkanisches Intrusivgestein und vulkanisches Ergussgestein. Diese Steine stammen aus pfälzischen Lagerstätten in Albersweiler, Waldhambach, Forst, Rammelsbach, Kreimbach und Kirchheimbolanden. Sie sind tektonische – vulkanische Zeugnisse der Pfalz. Die Fladensteine auf dem Felsrücken stellen ein aufgelöstes Felsenriff dar an dem Besonderheiten der Entstehung, Abtragung, Verwitterung und Formenvielfalt der Buntsandsteinformationen erklärt werden.
Der geologisch Lehrpfad beginnt bei N 49° 06.083 E 7° 48.929 mit der ersten Tafel. Folgt dem Pfad und lasst euch die Geschichte der Gesteine näher bringen. Bei Tafel 7 "Pfälzer Hartgesteine & Co." solltet ihr genauf aufpassen, hier könnt ihr den ersten Teil der Logbedingung in Erfahrung bringen:

Folgt dem geologische Lehrpfad weiter bis ihr zur Tafel 10 „Schicht um Schicht“ kommt. Diese informiert über den Aufbau des Buntsandsteins und ihr könnt die zweite Frage beantworten:
Zu welcher Buntsandsteinschicht gehören die Fladensteine?
Mailt die Antworten an uns und ihr könnt direkt loggen.
Zuguterletzt macht noch ein Foto von euch bei N 49° 06.156 E 7° 49.261 wie z.B. das im Anhang. Es ist nicht nötig auf die Logfreigabe zu warten. Wir behalten uns jedoch vor, Logs bei falschen Antworten zu löschen.
Parken kann man direkt in der Nähe der oben genannten Koordinaten beim Sportplatz. Dort sind auch einige Picknicktische vorhanden.

The geological science trail "Rund um die Fladensteine" in the Bundenthaler forest would like to inform about various characteristics of geology and the soil of "Buntsandsteinfelsen". At the beginning of the trail there are exhibitions of magmatic plutonic rocks, subvolcanic rocks and volcanic igneous rocks. These rocks originate from the deposits of Albersweiler, Waldhambach, Forst, Rammelsbach, Kreimbach and Kirchheimbolanden. They're tectonical - volcanical examples of rocks in the Pfalz.
The Fladensteine at the top of the hill are a ledge at which you can see specific types of the formation, degredation, alteration and the great variety of shapes of the "Buntsandstein"-formation.
The geological science trail starts at N 49° 06.083 E 7° 48.929 with the first information board. Follow the trail to the 7th information board "Pfälzer Hartgesteine & Co." and you can inform yourself about the palatinate rocks:

Follow the geological science trail up to info-board 10 "Schicht um Schicht". Here you can inform yourself about the structure of the "Buntsandstein" and you can solve the second logging-condition:
To which level of "Buntsandstein" belong the "Fladensteine"?
Finally take a photo of yourself at the "Fladensteine" at N 49° 06.156 E 7° 49.261.
Mail the answers and you can immediately log. It is not necessary to wait for a log permission! We reserve the right to delete the log, if the the questions were answered incorrectly.
