Like a good walk? Enjoy exploring the forests and trails of
Maryland and Northern Virginia? Here is the popular Occoquan
Trailmasters series redux except using trails and caches along the
Potomac.
Calling all Potomac Trailmasters to sit down with fellow hiking
enthusiasts. Enjoy a chance to talk to others about some of the
great caches, hikes and experiences you have had while walking the
parks on the Virginia and Maryland shores of the Potomac from
Leesburg to Cabin John.
Where: The little plaza at Cascades Marketplace

Close to a variety of lunch spots and easy access to several
caches.
There are many trails from Dead Run near Langley to Balls Ford
in Leesburg. Parks include Dranesville District Park, Scotts Run
Nature Preserve, Great Falls, River Bend Park, Seneca, Algonkian
Regional Park, Lansdowne, River Creek, Red Rocks and Balls
Bluff.
These parks and caches overlook the trade routes of Native
Americans and early settlers, were surveyed by George Washington,
bore witness to epic battles of the American Civil War and now
serve as an area of beauty and escape for the Trailmasters.
How many of these trails and parks do you know? We have assigned
a subjective point value to each of the caches in this general
area. Can you get 50 points before the event? 100 points? How many
do you have now?
