Geocache Description:

A short walk on one of the largest beaches in South-West Kerry.
*** Mind the electric fence at cache site ***

The Cache is a smallish lunch box placed at the back of the beach.

Reenroe Beach is for walking, running, fishing, surfing, but not so much for swimming. There are dangerous currents near the parking spot.

This is our favourite beach to go for a walk. It is (just about) possible to drive on to it, and this was always the first place I brought visitors when I moved to this great part of the world many years ago.
There used to be a private air strip just behind the beach, probably connected to the nearby hotel that is now in ruins. It still has an airport code: CHE. Do a Google search for CHE Airport, and you will find plenty offers of cheap flights, car rental, etc. Quite funny when you see what is there now - just a big lake!
We hope that you enjoy the beach as much as we do!
