Geocache Description:

This is no 3 in the "Tonteldoos" series and contains one of the 18 clues to the final cache in the series to be placed in 2009.

There are 18 Tonteldoos Caches all over South Africa and in every one you will find a clue in the sense of the name of a well known Afrikaner/Boer. These clues are to be gathered and during the Easter weekend of 2009, in the small town Tonteldoos, Mpumalanga, South Africa, every person who writes in as participant, will receive a code deciphering the clues. The code will give the coordinates of the Great Cache, which will be hidden in the vicinity of Tonteldoos. Further information at http://www.silvershoes.co.za/tonteldoos

Please replace the cache EXACTLY where found. No stones is needed in the hiding of this cache!

This cache is situated on a farm outside Rustenburg. The owner gave permission for the cache, but visitors should please just report on arrival that they are part of geocaching. The farm was inherited by, the then 16 year old boy, Paul Kruger. He resided on this farm for 27 years and had 17 children here. The rooms are now all named after his wife and daughters. The 3 rooms of the old out buildings all have the names of his wife. Inside, the original wall can still be seen as it was at that time. The farm is full of bird life and throughout the year 112 different bird species can be seen here. The daughter of the owner is full of stories about this farm, so be sure to have a chat with Francis. The way point provided is the turn-off to the farm. Some maths is required for the final way point. If you are standing in front of the main house (on the kitchen side) the old out building is in front of you. There are 3 rooms with different names. View them from left to right. Left = 1st, middle = 2nd and right = 3rd. Assuming that A=1, B=2 Z=26, work out the following. S25° 44.AAA' E27° 16.BBB' Where AAA is (87x the first letter of the 1st room) and BBB is ((the sum of the first, third, fifth and the sixth letter of the 2nd room)+37)x the fifth letter of the 3rd room Mind the brackets !
