redpandas: It's official - Madyokel is the harbinger of doom for this cache - it's dead and The Iron Mountain Travel Bug Motel is finally closed for business. Despite it being secured with two padlocks whoever wanted this cache box has had it - so I take it their need is greater than ours. It's been a blast but Staffordshire's biggest box is no more - we'll be back once new premises have been found

The Iron Mountain Travel Bug Motel - Back In Business!
We couldn't leave it shut - so we're back.
The Iron Mountain travel bug motel is located just off Junction 14 of the M6 - ideally located for the dropping off and collection of Travel Bugs travelling south or north.... probably should be part of the Motorway Madness Series - especially as food and drink here is better and cheaper than the services!
You'll be more than pleased with the opulent surroundings that we have provided both for traditional cache swaps and also to house travel bugs. A large log book is provided for you to mark your visit and to check bugs into and out of the motel. No hints for this one - if you can't find it, your GPS has stopped working or it has been stolen! Your only problem is whether to park up and enjoy a meal and a drink at the two great pubs and eat all you can Chinese restaurant we have on site or whether to drive in from the M6 for a quick cache and grab.
Park by the Iron Mountain if there's space next to the European lorry drivers or park at the layby on the main road and brave the verge, or there's a space just off the island for a short visit. Don't try to do this one from the hard shoulder of the M6.
