Geocache Description:

**NOTE: THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES!!**

The original Batcolumn (GCW2VY) was placed by Madamemoutard, and here is some information on the artwork and the artist blatantly taken from her original page:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This artwork is known as "Batcolumn". It was designed by Swedish born pop artist Claes Oldenburg. Erected in on April 13th, 1977, this 20 ton welded steel artwork stands 96 feet 8 inches tall and 9 feet 9 inches in diameter at its widest point. The concrete base is 4 feet high by 10 feet in diameter. This public artwork was erected for the Social Security Administration Building. Take some time to read the plaque in front of the artwork for more information.
Claes Oldenburg spent much of his youth in Chicago where his father was Consul General for Sweden. He is well known for other artworks that mostly consist of giant food items such as ice cream sundaes, hamburgers, chocolate eclairs, pecan pies, and hot dogs. He eventually branched off to other objects such as sculptures of toothbrushes, saws, icepacks, martini glasses as well as used teabags and spent matches.
Due to the previous issues with this hide being located so close to a Federal building, I've decided to revive it as a Puzzle! The final is now far enough away so as to not draw attention to you from the Feds ... just all the muggles you'll have to avoid to make the find!
The posted coordinates should bring you to the Batcolumn, in all it's glory! Along the new perimeter wall around the entire block, there are a series of lights encased in square cages approximately 1' square. Count the number of lights along the Southern border of the block that is graced with the Batcolumn. Let's call the number of lights "A".
Use the following formula for the North Coordinates:
4 X A = B, B + (A/3) = C
Subtract C from the original North Coordinates
Use the following formula for the West Coordinates:
10 X A = D, D - 3 = E
Add E to the original West Coordinates
It's a nice little walk to the final from the Batcolumn, but you can also park within feet of it if you like. The final is at one of my favorite views of the City, and one I get to see on a regular basis. Oh yeah, and you can also see the Batcolumn from here as well!
